Conference on Functional Wheat Genomics for Stress Tolerance

February 5th 2025

The conference on Functional Wheat Genomics for Stress Tolerance was held on February 5, 2025, in a hybrid mode at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax. Bringing together 100 participants (both online and on-site), the event showcased cutting-edge research on wheat genomics, drought tolerance, and high-throughput phenotyping. Experts from diverse backgrounds shared insights on epigenomic dynamics in synthetic wheat, genetic variation for cereal root architecture, determinants of wheat resistance to fungal diseases, genetic diversity and innovation of wheat varieties and landraces, and marker genes for drought tolerance. These different talks fostered fruitful ideas and rich discussions.
